WedSNESday: Let's Play Castlevania Dracula X (Rondo of Blood SNES)
This week on WedSNESday, Matt & Luke return, once again, to the spookiest vampire-infested countryside in SNES history for another run at the Castlevania series - this time Luke tries his hand at Castlevania: Dracula X. We return to fill the swash-topped boots of Richter Belmont as he searches for his abducted lady love, Annette, tearing through the burning countryside whip in hand in true Belmont fashion, and an arsenal of classic Castlevania staple weapons strategically encased in wax around the nearby village.
Castlevania: Dracula X was released for the Super Nintendo in 1995 as a modified port of the popular PC Engine "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood", but with modified gameplay, different levels and the removal of Maria Renard as a playable character. It was reasonably well-received, though more mixed than many of its contemporary Castlevania titles due to the perception that it was an inferior port of a game that was better on nearly every other platform it was released on.

WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
