Let's Play Mega Man X2 - Part 12: A Test of Agility
We're on to the third fortress stage now. This one really wants you to get used to the Crystal Hunter; there are multiple areas where you need to use it to make enemies into stepping stones. It's still not terribly long, although there is a secret item in the stage that I...well, *tried* to get, and apparently I did something wrong earlier in the game. At least you know where it is. The boss of the stage is Agile, the only remaining X-Hunter. He can be very easy or very difficult depending on whether or not you are willing to use his weakness. Since he spends the entire fight close to the top of the screen (he never changes altitude), you'd have to climb the wall with careful timing to use the X-Buster, but since his weakness is Magnet Mines (that hasn't changed since the first fight), you can just stand on the floor and direct them upward. To attack, he'll drop spiked pieces of metal onto the floor (raising it up one tile) while shooting electric sparks along the walls or form a large spiked orb that shoots off toward you. Like I said, though, with Magnet Mines, he's a pushover, especially compared to the nightmare that was Serges in the previous stage.
