Let's Play Might and Magic 7! Part 9 - Pre-war wrapup
23The Nighon Tunnels call to us, but first I have way too much crap in my inventory that I need to clear out. Also a little shuffling around of equipment. Once I'm not quite as weighed down, I head back down into the tunnels and finally venture forth!
The Nighon Tunnels aren't all that dangerous. The only hostile creatures are the Gogs; the Dwarves and Warlocks are friendly to us in here. There is the possibility of friendly fire coming from the Warlocks, though, as if they fire at a Gog and we are in the way we will be hit. Since it's not that hard, I go ahead and clear a significant proportion of the Tunnel of the Gog population, as well as loot it for far more than I expected.
The second leg of the journey is far tougher. Thunderfist Mountains is a very short leg, but there are Minotaurs and Evil Eyes in the way. Perhaps they aren't so tough...? But I don't trust that I would survive, so I back up to the Tunnel and cast Invisibility to hopefully make our way to the exit.
The exit happens to be not where I expected it to be, quite a ways west of where I needed to be. Fortunately there isn't anything hostile on the way to getting Master Water Magic on my Druid, which was the goal of this trek... because now we have access to Town Portal! We can return to Nighon whenever we want now, and can easily move between Erathia, Tularean Forest, and Harmondale. Master Water also gives us access to Enchant Item, which I use to give us some much needed upgrades regarding equipment.
With the ability to teleport around, now is the time to take advantage of it to get around. To start with, clearing out the hostile Griffins in Erathia, followed by the hostile Trees in Tularean Forest. Also took the chance to return to Evenmorn to get Master Rank Unarmed and Dodging for my Monk and re-loot it since it respawned.
To end things I raid Castle Gryphonheart of the paintings of Roland and Archibald and take all three paintings back to Tatalia to turn them in for the reward.
