Let's Play Might and Magic 7! Part 19 - Maze of the Minotaur
3The bug from the end of the previous video has been fixed by quitting and restarting the game. So now we enter Minotaur Maze for real! Largely populated by the bespoke Minotaurs, we also have Warlocks similarly to their appearance in Thunderfist Mountain as well as Hydras which are also found in the outdoor Mount Nighon area. Unlike in Thunderfist the corridors of the Minotaur Maze are wide enough that they don't get caught unable to chase me, and are even wide enough to allow the Hydras to move around a little, too.
The loot on the ground is largely not worth mentioning outside of the loose gold. Chests tend to have a bit better stuff here. There are two things here that we want: Haldar's Remains are a jar of ashes that we received a quest to retrieve in Mount Nighon, and the Angel Statuette is here, which is the last one needed for the request to place the missing statuettes on their alters. Both items are way in the back; chests stored in the more cavernous parts of this dungeon.
This place will require multiple trips to clear out, because our SP resources only go so far (and also inventories do fill, as well).
Once we have cleared the natural parts of the dungeon, we return Haldar's Remains to the quest giver and then leave Nighon to place the statuettes in Bracada, Avlee, and Tatalia. The experience and money combined from these two quests is a nice bonus for having the chance to clear so many Minotaurs and Hydras.
While there's still some of The Maze left to clear, I decide now is a great time to raid the Temple of Light in Celeste. As such, we head there, take out the hostile elements in front of the building, then go in and start dealing with them. This place contains Clerics of the Sun, Angels, and Monks. A puzzle must be solved to get the alter piece we need, and there's plenty of barrels and treasure to be found here.
