This video also has ben incorrectly stating three years had passed rather then four at the start. It's an inconsequential error, yes, but I thought I'd state it here so as to find out how many people read the descriptions of these videos. If you did, post a comment talking about seagulls.
We've barely begun to scratch the surface of this mystery and already it's clear the Obra Dinn went through so much on its final voyage. What remained of the crew in the end attacked their captain with greed on their mind, but how did it come to that? Why were only a handful of people left on board by that point? Had they stayed at port, abandoned ship... or did something awful happen to them too?
We don't know it yet, but one of the bodies in the captains quarters holds the key to us accessing a snapshot of an earlier point in the voyage. I'd like to say that it's a peaceful time with nothing awry, but the fact that we used the death of someone on board to get to it should tell you that our investigation about to get messier.
