0After going to Delphi and defeating Heracles and his Block of Ages in a battle that was a bit too close for comfort, we get arguably one of the best units that will serve as a cornerstone of our army for the rest of the playthrough: anvil bulls.
Seriously, if you’re playing this game for the first time, I strongly recommend that you make getting anvil bulls a priority because of how broken they can be- they’re cheap, don’t use a lot of tiles, can cover a good range, have good pushback and deal moderate damage to enemy boulders, and are very tanky, meaning that unless the enemy is deliberately trying to kill them, chances are they’ll stick around for the entire match. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that once you get your hands on anvil bulls, walls become obsolete. If you want an example of how good anvil bulls can be, just take a look at how they help us take down Joan of Arc in Rennes with relative ease.
Though despite the game having enough confidence in our abilities to stick us at a random point on the map and making us have to fight several battles just to reach the basic, but useful, units at the start of the map, it feels the need to give you a full tutorial on how to play the game when you reach the first level. I swear, if I had known that, I would have made it the final standard level of the playthrough for comedic effect. After all, imagine beating all of the other enemies and bosses in the game, only to end things off on the tutorial and be told how to ram a boulder into a gate and place down catapults and walls?
