Let's Play Super Mario Bros. 3 - Part 19: The Koopa Brigade
0We are at the final world of the game now! (SMB3 doesn't have any secret worlds, unless you count the e-Reader thing in the GBA remake.) World 8 is full of lava and darkness, as would be expected from Bowser's area, and its level setup is...weird, to say the least. We don't even tackle any actual numbered levels in this episode, despite doing five levels (or "levels"). First comes an auto-scrolling tank level, sort of like an airship except ground-based, followed by a similar thing with ships. After that are the three "hand trap" stages, which have a chance of automatically pulling you in and are all lava-filled areas based around a certain enemy type: Bros. for the first one, Podoboos for the second, and flying Cheep-Cheeps for the third. They're also short (even by SMB3's standards) and each give you a free Super Leaf on completion.
