After two months of not doing any LPing at all, it's finally time to get back into it again! (Sort of, anyway...you just never know when I will or won't have time and be in the right place for recording.)

This time, I'm playing something that isn't a platformer for once (one of the VERY few games I really like that isn't). It's Super Mario RPG, the very first Mario RPG game, or at least, I would assume so. Paper Mario came later. I'm reasonably sure this is the only Mario RPG on the SNES. The game has the typical RPG elements: HP, MP, XP, a level system, enemies that pull you into battles, attack/defense systems, status effects, etc. Most of them are Mario-themed, though, such as mushrooms restoring HP. It also is semi-3D; the playing field is isometric, so you can move in any direction along the ground and jump into the air. The SA-1 enhancement chip present in the game helps with things like graphics rendering...and makes it unwinnable on ZSNES because ZSNES sucks at SA-1 emulation. It's a pretty interesting and fun game, in any case (although the plot is kind of silly, another aspect of Mario games).

Now, as for the plot...well, nothing much has happened thus far. Bowser kidnapped the Princess and Mario rescued her...but then a huge sword fell from the sky and embedded itself into Bowser's castle, breaking the bridge leading to the castle to make it inaccessible. What does this have to do with Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (or anything else)? Well, you'll have to keep watching to find out....
