Continuing along Mushroom Way, we find...a lot of classic Mario enemies, but in RPG form. The most prevalent is probably the Spiny, which for some reason is called "Spikey" here. There are also Koopa Paratroopas (called "Sky Troopas") and Goombas...heck, the first sub-boss of the game is here, and even it fits with the theme. The Hammer Bros. are back, ready to give Mario a good bonk. They're easy enough to deal with, but don't underestimate them! Remember that Mario still has less than 30 HP, so it's easier than you would think to die here. In the Mushroom Kingdom castle, the Chancellor gives Mario a mission: rescue the Princess! (Does Mario ever seem to do anything else?) We never saw her after the incident in the castle, so who knows what might have happened to her...! Then we meet a purple reptilian robber and a puffy yellow kid...another enemy to defeat and another person to help (not to mention he joins Mario in the fight). It looks like Mario will have plenty to do, in any case.
