We start our hunt for the fifth piece of the Staff of Chaos by finding a group of people that look almost identical that take a bit to give me the info I need. We need to travel to the island "country" of Summerset Isle, home of the High Elves.

We do this, only to end up wandering around at night while killing a bunch of enemies, which in turn results in some random selling. Even though I tried to finish up selling last time, we end up having a bunch of selling sequences here since we had the people at this point plus an accidental click of the steal button. The good news from all of this is that most of my armor has been replaced, meaning we will only need to worry about the Greaves and Helmet.

We also spend a little bit of time outdoors, though I don't bother too long as Summerset Isle feels pretty much like every other place we have been to. Between Valenwood and Elyswer, we are pretty familiar with the appearance of this place even before we step foot here, which means it just ends up feeling like more of the same. The big difference is that the people are yellow to show they are High Elves, which just makes it feel like The Simpsons. Also note that this texture change is extremely inconsistent since only villagers are changed, meaning pretty much anybody who isn't a villager (beggars, prostitutes, bartenders, wizards, blacksmiths, and priests) will look absolutely identical. While this has happened everywhere else, it gets pretty jarring in a place where the majority are supposed to be yellow skinned.

I spend a lot of time exploring weapons shops in this part. We work our way to the town of Lillandril, most of this part can be summed up as me checking out every weapon shop in that town. While it seems like a pretty fruitless task at first, one of the final shops we find turns out to have an Ebony Katana. While it isn't my main goal of an Ebony Dai-Katana, it is close enough to be quite worthy. My max damage remains the same, but the minimum goes up a tremendous amount, making it quite worth the purchase. I am pretty much using a regular Dai-Katana with a bunch of additional minor benefits, which will work quite well until I find a Dai-Katana that uses one of the 5 metals to increase max damage. Furthermore, the better metals last a longer period of time, so I believe using Ebony will prevent my problem of my Dai-Katana breaking during every dungeon delve. As it keeps breaking, the loss of a Willpower boost is negligible to me since I have to spend a lot of time in each dungeon without it anyway.

We also waste a bit of money on an Ebony Tower Shield (of Strength), since all swords we currently have are single-handed. I eventually plan on changing this when I get a Dai-Katana so I don't have to keep reequipping the shield, but the weak armor class means that it can be a bit worthwhile to increase in the main body region. Note that it also increases Strength, which is entirely useless to me since I got Strength maximized, but I decide to not bother hunting around for another Ebony Tower Shield based on my difficulty with the Ebony Dai-Katana, especially since I intend for it to be a temporary AC boost (I intend to be more of a glass cannon, dishing out great damage and spamming healing to get through the game, plus I don't want too many inventory spots taken up).

As I said before, after spending my money on this extremely powerful stuff, including one of the best Shields I can buy (though with a stat booster that is entirely useless to me sadly, but it is an Ebony Tower Shield nonetheless) and one of the best Swords I can buy (only thing better would be one with an enchantment, which I probably wouldn't want on my main sword anyway as I would run the risk of losing a large number of charges) that isn't a magical Dai-Katana, I still haven't put much of a dent in my gold. We have lost 20000 gold, but as I still have 190000, I still have a ridiculous amount of gold that I have absolutely nothing to do with unless I can find a Elven-Ebony Dai-Katana.

We also get a bit of plot, where we go to the Mages Guild and find out we need to go to the Temple of the Mad God to get a diamond. At least it isn't another Stone Tablet, even if the plot is pretty much copy-paste beyond that part and the fact that it was a band of Monks instead of Knights. We end this part as I travel to the Temple of the Mad God.
