Let’s Play The Fall Part 2 Unbound #17: Restoring Empathy
This is my first playthrough through this game. Kindly avoid posting spoilers in the comments or solutions to puzzles either in this video or future ones so as not to spoil the experience for me or those that haven’t seen the game before.
Of the three robots that Arid previously co-inhabited the bodies of, the Companion is in the most immediate peril. Stuck on the ship in which Josephs resides, he he’s planning to have the Companion taken apart so that the virus can be extracted and utilised upon all synthetic life. We need to get them off the ship but they don’t yet fully realise just what’s at stake. They do at least seem very trusting of us still which is a surprise considering all the terrible things we did.
Much like One, we’re going to have to work on the things that the Companion isn’t used to experiencing if we’re going to have a chance of getting through to them and seeing them safely away. The different perspectives we have available will help us in this regard as well as some carefully placed suggestions, ones that won’t go against the Companion’s programming. Whether all of this is going to be enough is another matter for the ship has many guards that will likely do all the can to stop us should it become clear we’re making a break for it. I somehow doubt the Companion will want to fight given it’s desire to empathise with people but stranger things have happened.
