279Food in the Organ Trail is a potentially very fluid resource. You can lose it to random events and trade it both in the store for money or to other survivors more directly for things you need. The fact that your group needs to keep eating to survive means that you'll always need food although if you're careful you can get huge stockpiles of it, especially on normal difficulty.
At the moment I'm holding onto what I have because I can often scavenge for enough money to buy what I want directly, plus there'll doubtless be places further along the route that will pay quite a lot of money for food. In addition it's good practice for the harder difficulties where food will be much more scarce and valuable a commodity then it is on normal.
This video was recorded while recovering from a nasty cold that made my voice hoarse. While my voice is on the mend at the time of writing this it was not 100% at the time of recording.
