The lair of the creature we've come to deal with is the final section of the final mission and is interesting for two reasons. Firstly it's got two enemy types that we haven't seen before in Aftershock that you're given no real clues as to their weaknesses. Fortunately with a little lateral thinking it's not too difficult to figure out which types of weapon work best against each one. Secondly this part has no different objective them the other parts; you simply need to get your soldiers to the objective point.

I remember this part of the game being a lot more difficult then it was in this playthrough, most likely because I probably didn't have soldiers as well equipped as I do now and I probably didn't bring any powerful energy weapons with me. Either way, we've got a tremendously powerful squad of soldiers armed with the best equipment available, what is the final section of the game going to throw at us that'll be a threat?

We'll have to see won't we?
