If we're going to stop this weapon that's aimed at Earth we're going to need to take complete control of the ship and deal with the villain responsible for this scheme, Bredell. Afterwards we'll need to file our report with Starfleet which is going to be... interesting.

I wonder how captains like Kirk and Picard go about explaining all the strange stuff that they encounter in their adventures. Do they just write it exactly as it happened? I can imagine how Starfleet will react to this one:
'Hey, erm... So, Kirk just sent us a mission report saying that he found out someone was making a death laser to blow up earth because a Starfleet ship was catapulted forward in time by the explosion that blew up the planet and managed to warn them before they blew up... So... Yeah... Do we... question him about any of that?'
'No, just file it away in the Kirk file.'
'The file that's to never, ever be opened again ever?'
'Yes, that one. Now you must never tell anyone what you read. It's a good thing you're wearing red.'
'Wait, what are you-' *Phaser sound*

I like to think that's how it happens every time. It probably doesn't but it'd be good if it was true eh?

As a side note, how many of these video thumbnails have been Kirk, Spock and McCoy standing in one of the corridors in the station?
