Let's Play: Unforeseen Incidents - Part 4 - The Finale
Part 4 and the finale of my playthrough of Unforeseen Incidents.
With this video, we come to the end of my time with Unforeseen Incidents. This was an interesting one, in that I really enjoyed my time with this game, and yet the ending left me so unsatisfied. I don't think that's entirely down to bad writing (though there were some choices made that.... disappointed me) but more for the fact that even though we "won" it didn't really feel like a win. Maybe that's because of events in recent times about powerful people getting away with horrible shit even when it was caught on tape. Maybe it's because the game talks on spreading disease as a means of control whilst I exist through a pandemic. I dunno. The victory felt a bit hollow.
Overall, I really enjoyed Unforeseen Incidents. The art was great; the music was great; the voice acting was (mostly) great; the QoL and gameplay was (mostly) great; even the story was (mostly) great. It was a really good experience marred by an ending that probably would have landed a lot differently if I hadn't just lived through, you know, everything.
I recommend playing it, and I wonder how others that aren't me right now would feel about it.
