Part 1 of my playthrough of Lamplight City.

CW: This episode features racism and torture. It's not a light game.

Lamplight City is a Point n Click adventure game where you take on the role of Miles Fordham, a disgraced cop-come-private investigator as we solve crimes that are too weird, or too beneath the police force. You investigate leads, press witnesses, and find answers. Are they the correct answers? That's up to you.

Oh and you may or may not be haunted by your dead partner.

I'm going to go and say that I'm really enjoying this game so far. This episode covers all of case one, and it was ... challenging, to say the least. Racism is a real-ass thing in this world, and it does not shy away from it. I'm hoping it handles it well, but it's too early to tell. Case one had some icky moments by design, and I wonder how the rest of the game will play out.

Technically this game's pretty swell: great sound engineering, great art, great writing, great music. It's a solid game. I hope the story holds up to its technical prowess.
