Let’s Replay Deus Ex #16: The Hunt for Answers and Ambrosia [Strobe Warning]

The mission to recover the stolen Ambrosia has taken many turns over the night, but none of them have been good. Only one barrel has been found and now Paul is AWOL, casting great suspicion over his previous actions. Why would he not attack the warehouse to recover the missing shipment? Did he really lose his nerve or is something more troubling going on? Perhaps we’ll get answers to those questions if we come across him, but that’s not our objective. We need to find that Ambrosia before it’s flown out of the country for purposes unknown.
To that end, we’re going to do some investigating, something that happens more often than you’d think in this game. Here is where some previous actions are rewarded or punished, giving you the chance to more easily progress. Like before, there are many ways to come up with the solution to the problem presented – including remembering information from a previous playthrough – and each has their merits. We could even forgo investigating altogether and use our lockpicks and multitools, of which we have plenty, to carry on without talking to anyone and that’s perfectly fine too. It’d certainly make an interesting section of the mission report when JC has to do his paperwork.
