Let’s Replay Deus Ex #19: Bothersome Bots [Strobe Warning]

If you thought the area of the airfield we’re in now is dangerous, just wait until we get to the surface. The enemies may be spaced out but there’s a lot of danger you can stumble into without knowing about it if you’re not careful. Shipping containers can hide a foe around every corner and it’s here that the number of bots increases substantially, a problem we’re not that well equipped to deal with.
Bots don’t take much damage at all from small arms fire and while there are special types of ammo that make certain weapons more useful, it’s better to use heavier ordinance. The GEP gun would be a fine choice for dispatching them but we didn’t choose that at the beginning of the game, so we’re stuck with our grenades and the LAW as our only options. Well, that’s not strictly true; we could choose to avoid the bots entirely by employing stealth, but why do that when you can blow them all up?
You’ll see soon enough just why you might want to be a big more sneaky than I am.
