Let’s Replay Deus Ex #17: Unearthing the Mole People [Strobe Warning]

Our inquiries have led us to an abandoned subway station through which we’ll access the tunnels of the Mole People. We’ve heard of them a few times before in the story, a group who live in the abandoned underground areas of New York away from prying eyes. We have reason to believe that the NSF have been using those tunnels to transport the missing Ambrosia to an airfield, though we don’t know how to get to the tunnels themselves from where we are. There are many ways to find out that information, continuing the trend of redundancy that gives the game its feeling of freedom despite how linear the plot is.
Once we reach the tunnels, there are two ways to handle the NSF presence there. It’s harder but more rewarding to sneak past them, avoiding casualties and getting some practice in for when you want to evade far more dangerous enemies. We won’t be doing that as you might’ve guessed, for our skill set is not in avoidance, but combat, something we’ll also need practice with for later.
