In part 9 of this series, I take a look at KUBUNTU, which is UBUNTU packaged within the KDE PLASMA DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT. I look at it with very specific intention in mind -- to customise the DESKTOP from the default settings to a MacOS clone.

I run through the McMojave suite of tweaks and themes for KUBUNTU, before installing the Latte Dock for an extra layer of customisation and to give off a more authentic MAC theme.

The DESKTOP is impressive, allowing changes to be made in a few clicks and is always speedy in its transitions. It performs relatively well, although we did see our first crash of the series with this DISTRO. I can't be sure why that happened, as my previous experience with KUBUNTU shows it to be a reliable and stable DISTRO.

On the whole, KUBUNTU was a great experience, allowing high levels of customisation and the possibility of tailor making your DESKTOP EXPERIENCE to match that of any possible set up you can think of. From WINDOWS to MAC and even GNOME.
