I got this game through the Racial Justice bundle from itch.io.

I've had my eye on Minit for a minute (yes I did) and was thrilled when I got it through the bundle. I tend to trust Devolver titles, and Minit really holds up.

The premise to Minit is that you're an adorable little duck-ish person, who wanders down to the beach and picks up a cursed sword. From that point onward, you have only 60 seconds to achieve something. The universe is persistent for things to accomplish (like unlocking other items, doing certain actions, etc) but you will die and respawn in your chosen home when the clock runs out. It's such an interesting limitation to apply to the player, and making the puzzles around that limitation must have been wonderful.

In addition to the interesting mechanics of the game, the style and music are also adorable. I've not seen black and white pixels done this well in a while. The characters you meet all have fun dialogue and a great amount of personality in their visual and technical design, given they're monochromatic sprites.

I'll be returning to Minit in a future stream, but I'm really glad I got the chance to try it out in this video.
