Let's Try: Silver Grapple - I should have paid attention in physics class
I got this game through the itch.io Racial Justice bundle. Silver grapple tricked me into playing a metroidvania-style game, which I'm not impressed about. What I am impressed about is how solid a game it actually is. It's got a lot going on: good level design, solid music, adorable characters, hidden lore you can find if you explore, interesting mechanics. The game will ask a lot of you, and you will die. Like, a lot. You will die a lot. It does however do a very good job of making those loses quick, painless, and easy to learn from. It's taking notes from games like Cave Story and Celeste, and overall it makes for a really satisfying game.
It's just not a game for me. It asks a bit too much precision of my dumb, slow hands, and I know I'd end up more stressed than triumphant by the end. This is very much a game many people should play, it just isn't one I know I could get through and be happy by the end.
