A year or two years ago I bought a Udoo and wanted it to be my new HTPC. Its fan tho were obnoxious, definitly killing all the fun. So I used some duct tape to make it work. Tho there are plenty of settings in the BIOS, the fan just does suck. As well does its type (5V Fan), its connector and its mounting. It took me some tinkering and I finally got an ok solution. Had to find a 10 mm fan @5V so it still fits the case. It was really a problem that only beared troubles.
Now its working, thing gets a bit hot, but its summer atm. The CPU does power throttle, doesnt impact the video at all tho. I switched the standard fan and added some quality thermal grease.
