Review of Linux Mint Debian Edition LMDE downloaded September 2011. Its a rolling release distro, meaning the system you install will constantly be updated and you'll keep with a modern OS without ever needing to reinstall.
LMDE comes based on Gnome3 with a classic styled desktop that matches nicely with their standard Mint theme.

Installing and using the system is slightly easier than using a standard Debian system. However a big downside is with the repos being 6 months out of date potentially leaves you with an insecure apps e.g. Firefox web browser.
