Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2 TWS Radar Mode

TWS radar mode is set on the beyond visual range radar mode, and it is used to track multiple targets with your radar. When you fire your weapons, all the missiles will not fire at one time, you can fire them one at a time, and you can track the next target. In a regular single lock, you can lock on the target, and fire you weapon. This can be a visual lock, an automatic lock at close range, or a BVR RWS mode. If you engaging more than one target in the same general direction, a single lock can be a great disadvantage.
Procedure to setup TWS radar mode:
1. Enable BVR(Beyond Visual Range) mode: "2"
2. Turn on your radar: "i"
3. Enable TWS by pressing Right "Alt"+"i" until you see it in the radar screen on your cock pit. You can also change the radar closure rate modes by pressing "Alt"+"I" as well. You will get one of three options. Mi, med, and high. High is for long range and high closure targets, med is for medium range and low closure targets, and mi is between high and low closure targets. When you are in either of these 3 modes, the enemy will show up as horizontal lines on your radar screen.
4. Move your cursor with the vertical slits on the radar screen to lock onto the target: Move it to the left ",". Move it to the right "/", move it up ";", and move it down "." .
5. You have to scan the radar left, right, up, and down. To do this. Scan up: Right "Shift"+"/". Scan down: Right "Shift"+".". Scan right: Right "Shift"+"/". Scan left: Right "Shift"+",". To increase the radar's range "+", and to decrease the radar's range "-".
6. Scan range altitude scan. For example 20,000 to 15,000 displayed as 20 and 15 on the radar cockpit screen. To change this, move the cursor key: Down "." Up ";". By doing this, you can change the scan range from 25,000 to 10,000, or anything you would like.
7. You can only lock on the icons that are vertical symbols on the radar screen. To lock on, press "Enter". After you get a lock you will see a big circle on the radar screen appear with a dot in it. At the same time on the HUD(Heads up display, you will see a square appear. Point your aircraft towards the square icon on the HUDS screen. When your weapon is within range, you will see a small triangle under the square. When you see this, fire your weapon by pressing Right "Alt" + "Spacebar".
8. Select your weapon by pressing "D" until you get you weapon you want. The larger circle would be the AIM-120, and the smaller circle will be the AIM-9.
