Weapon Modification:

2 SRM 6s with 500 missiles.

Chassis:

Standard Commando chassis with a standard engine.

Philosophy:

Sacrifice armor for extra ammunition. Use the terrain to evade enemies, always try to flank the enemy, and close in with heavier mechs. Use obstacles, like buildings, hills, mountains, and other mechs to close in on the enemy. Never charge towards larger mechs on open ground, or you will be decimated very quickly. Closing in with heavier mechs gives you a distinct advantage over heavier mechs, because they cannot turn faster than you can run. This means, they can't train their weapons on you which will allow you to escape. After you evade your enemy, pick the best tactical advantage to strike again. Then, get out of sight. Light mechs are good at harassing larger enemy mechs. In the long run, you can wear them down, and destroy them. If things get too hot, you can just escape with your superior speed. Use obstacles, like buildings, hills, mountains, and other mechs to close in on the enemy.

Review of the Commando:

I tinkered with the Commando for a while, and I found the speed of the machine to be very good. The most suitable weapons layout for this design would be 2 SRM 6s, or SRM 6+SRM 4. There are some problems if you just use SRMs, and the biggest problem would be when engaging light mechs. The SRM isn't a suitable weapon for killing lighter mechs, because this weapon system isn't very accurate. This lay out is most suitable in fighting medium, heavy, and assault mechs. You can just use your high speed to close in fast, hit them with 12 SRMs, and get out of harms way. With the SRMs, you can do more damage per pass vs. using small lasers or medium lasers.
