Lockdown's Unused Design Was a Teaser to Transformers 5. Age of Extinction was a film that introduced a lot of interesting concepts. Such as the seed that weilded the power to turn all organic matter around it into transformium. And the so-called Creators, who were said to be responsible for creating Optimus Prime. And tasked Lockdown to return him to them. Those concepts felt very ambitious. But like all plot devices and mcguffins, they were briefly used and tossed out for another new concept. Such as Quintessa, who claimed that she made Optimus. Which completely ignores the fact that the mysterious aliens as his creators. But there was an unused concept that would've helped these movies connect better. Such as this scrapped design of Lockdown's face. Not only does it feature a different facial structure. But it also has a red mark going down his right optic. Which is similar to the red marks on Megatron and Optimus' eyes. This detail would've alluded to Lockdown being controlled by Quintessa as well.
