As the player begins to gain a reputation with the locals, they also start to receive increasingly threatening calls from their rivals. Earl, the ninth member of the Blacklist, claims that the player is becoming a bigger target on the street racing scene, and Razor tries to discredit Rog. To make matters worse, Rog tells the player that Razor is beginning to hire mercenaries in order to destroy the player. With all of these attempts to scare them off, one thing is for certain: the player is really starting to get somewhere if they’re causing this much of a tumult with the locals. With Rockport’s most elite racing crew on their doorstep, it’s only a matter of time until they get the chance to face Razor’s gang.
