The Judge Dredd game is based on the film of the same name, released in theaters in 1995 and starring Sylvester Stallone. The story takes place in the year 2139, the year when the world has completely collapsed. The climate, the countries, changed so drastically that the world ended up becoming a desolate desert, which became known as "Cursed Earth". People live in "megacities" and wild gang groups spring up in these cities, but the judicial system cannot control them, making it necessary to abolish the use of conventional police and lawyers.
