This is the longplay of the game X-Kalliber 2097, also known as Sword Maniac in Japan. It is an action and platform game released exclusively for the Super Nintendo in 1994. It was developed by japanese studios Fupac and Winds and published by Toshiba EMI (Japan), Activision (United States) and Sony Imagesoft (Europe)

The game's story takes place in the year 2097, where a man named Raptor takes over the city of Neo New York for himself with the help of an army of mutants called Morphs, and everyone lives in fear and the police were all bought by him except by two people, Slash (the protagonist) and his partner Alix. Faced with this, the Raptor kidnaps Alix and Slash needs to go after him to save her.

Slash has a sword called the X-Kaliber, which is said to be a sword of great power. The entire game has a futuristic feel. The protagonist of this game is the owner of the legendary sword, X-Kaliber. His goal is to bring peace and order to the world. Many of his enemies, especially Raptor, wish to acquire his sword for their own cowardly purposes. In the original Japanese version of the game, Slash is a prisoner serving a murder sentence, chosen to fulfill the New York mission by the US government.

The control consists of 5 buttons: a jump, a quick attack, a strong attack, a block and a long-range attack. Even with a good atmosphere, the game is too simple, enemies are quite aggressive and defend many of the attacks, which makes quick attacks more useful at certain times.
The game's soundtrack has become a central part of the game's marketing, as well as having its own section in the game's manual. The Japanese version has the soundtrack and character names quite different from the American and European versions.
Video was recorded at Normal level.
Hope you like it.
