Lost shiny Groudon LIVE after 2620 resets! - Pokémon Ruby
0After the Evolutionary Trading Session, I left my Pokémon in their respective Boxes and went to Seafloor Cavern with my Bellossom, Daysi, Gorebyss, Mightyena, Wailord, and Blaziken. Together, we defeated Team Magma once again. Then, I flew over to Sootopolis City's Pokémon Center and picked up the Pokémon I had prepared earlier for the battle against Groudon. As in all battles against legendary Pokémon, I thought of a strategy and I practiced how to capture it with Pokéballs. At first I was not clear whether to take Weezing with me since it spent some time in the Pokémon Day Care and I only trained it enough Defense EV's to evolve it. I was successful every time I practiced capturing Groudon, but that day it happened what I just didn't want to happen .

I was doing an average of 600 resets a day and right on the 3rd and last recording session of the day, on the 2nd 24-minute recording, this shiny Groudon comes to me live. This was the only recording session where I didn't want that to happen because I knew my parents would be home. So I took everything I needed to my room so I could continue recording. I recorded on the small table next to my bed and spent most of the video bent over, unable to sit down. I wasted a lot of time moving objects from one place to another and on top of it, the odds were against me. I was against the clock. I was very anxious to finish as soon as possible, in the video it is reflected. It was such a mess that I didn't care much about losing Groudon and in the end, that's what happened. Curiously, 2 years ago I also lost my first shiny Kyogre live in Pokémon Sapphire, the date and time are very similar to this day.

After losing Groudon, I discovered that the "Struggle" move affects any Pokémon, its base power increases if the Pokémon that uses it increased its characteristics previously and that it can miss if the user has reduced precision. In my 2 posts that I uploaded to Reedit I also discovered the function of some movements like "Memento" and "Skill Swap" that I cannot test with Groudon but it will help me in the next battles against legendary Pokémon. I am grateful to that user who helped me discover it, in addition to the Pokémon wikipedias.
Even though I know I couldn't get it this time, I will try again. I know my team and I can do it, I just have to be alone and focused to do it better next time.
