Hopefully everyone had a great day off, regardless of why they happened (or didn't) to take one! I know I sure did... so good in fact that the very next day was almost out before I realized that I still had some videography to tend to. YouTube is a harsh and demanding mistress!

Or not, but I sure am. I won't even cut myself (too much) slack on this, and I insist we all soldier on and actually stimulate our prefrontal cortices. (Learn, damn you all! Learn!)

Puzzle 11: Arrow Up

Not to nitpick needlessly, but wouldn't that be just a little less awkward if phrased as "Up Arrow"? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter either way, because whatever order you pair those two words up with, the image of the target formation surely does almost immediately come to mind regardless.

Arrows are again some of those funny little scribbles that humans are just naturally (or unnaturally, depending on how you look at it) attuned to recognize instantly as we've come to be in the here and now. Like the puzzle shaped around the letter A, this one should be comparatively simpler to visualize... but the big difference comes into play because of how free-standing and elevated the arrow's "arms" are. Oh, and the whole thing is much bigger, obviously... so it's not like you can just stick two early puzzles together and call it a day.

Anyway, just because an arrow is easy to visualize doesn't mean the increased complexity of dropping pieces into a 5x5 region necessarily is... particularly the bottom corners, which you MUST have exactly one way in order to prevent them from caving in and wrecking your puzzle dreams prematurely.

Oh, and this was bound to happen sooner or later, but eventually I was bound to... *gasp* fail. (FAIL!?!) But these puzzles are tiny, and I think a loss is far more instructional than the winning answer anyway... so consider yourselves extra lucky! Frankly, I'm a little "disappointed" that I didn't have any extra instruction to share prior to now. Curse my puzzling nature!

On one last thought... why even specify what arrow orientation in the first place unless...
