Whew, what a busy time of year for... well pretty much everybody, I guess. How nice for me to be able to grab a spare moment amidst all the frenzy of celebration and preparation for a little bit of audiovisual and compositional self-therapy.

Of course, I would also rather hope that these uploads fall somewhere along the far end of everybody's priorities lists. Never fear, they'll be hanging around minding their own business until someone's ready for them. And don't be fooled by their increase in number, obviously... they're fairly snack-sized for a change, which should be advantageous to everyone involved.

Puzzle 9: Smile

Huh, I'd forgotten about this one (big surprise there, huh?) and I'm really not sure whether this counts as "animal" or just plain abstract geometry. The former would really be a pure technicality in classification, so probably the latter... but the notion did happen to cross my mind as I came down to write about this one all the same.

Anyway, it's also a bit of an oddity among what we've encountered thus far, being far more disjoint in composition than even the checker design.

Actually, it's pretty weird if I keep on saying each one of these successive puzzles is completely different or unusual in some new and unforeseen way, it probably won't hold any meaning after too long, will it?

I guess that means I rather appreciate the subtlety of the puzzle sequencing... and that really feels like something I should've noticed before now, but I guess score one more for the subtlety factor? I mean, obviously if I keep it up, it's like... unsubtle... but... this stuff is really not easy to get right... so... yeah, I'll try not to gush too much, but... you guys try to... uh... recognize the hard work and whatnot. Yeah.

(Sorry if I sound excessively preachy or whatever, but... I'm kinda really big on the little things like that and hopefully I can rein it in from now on... for this game... mode... yeah... that promise doesn't seem very sincere... or likely... ... ... Game design rocks.)
