Lunar Stories S01E01 That Last Step
4Lunar Stories is a hard science fiction motion comic about lunar exploration in the year 2081. It is a series that tells the story of the Lunar Geologic Survey, an international organization dedicated to the human exploration of the Moon. It is an exploration fraught with danger but also excitement and majesty. Lunar Stories is also the stories of astronaut Austin Bonner, a brilliant pilot and engineer who also struggles with personal issues.
Realistic scientifically-sound science fiction is a rarity these days. It didn't used to be. Writers like Heinlein and Clarke did their best to create fiction that was firmly in accordance with the scientific understanding of the time. It was an art of the possible (if hard,) not fantasy. That's the kind of science fiction I want to watch and read, and there's not a lot of it these days.
Lunar Stories is pretty much a one-man show. I do the graphics, the animation, I edit the sound, and I write the stories. It involves a lot of labor.
