This next area is rather long because the path spirals around the center of the lake. The warp is guarded by Femto Guardian, who can hit hard enough to drop a character with Slice and Dice or even its normal attack. However, it won't last more than a few rounds either.
The area after that allows you a one-way warp to the terminal, in case the next bosses are too hard. The party runs into Mariella, who insists that the party's efforts to activate the etherlight network is awakening Apocalypse. The entire Elite Four (and Zeus) attacks at the same time, outnumbering the party 5 to 3. While they can't regen this time, it's still important to eliminate them one at a time to prevent them from concentrating their attacks on a single character. Ravi should be defeated first due to her lullaby skill, which sounds like it could inflict sleep. I have no clue what Felmut and Zeus are capable of this time, since I decided to take them out early.
Afterwards, Mariella suddenly claims that the Apocalypse is the Planet Tree incarnate and that it will help rule the world, which seems to contradict her earlier dialogue. Maybe this is some kind of translation error from Sekai Project. In any case, she's apparently one of the cultists mentioned in one of the library books, which explains how the book even found its way into the library in the first place.
At the end is Gertheim, who fused with Apocalypse and is planning on helping it destroy humanity, starting with the party of course. Worse yet, Apocalypse tampered with Esty's memories so that she would unwittingly power him up in her quest to activate the etherlight network. I think this might have been an optional victory battle, since Gertheim didn't have a death animation and drops a better version of a later storebought accessory. In any case, figure out his weaknesses and Over-Tension ASAP so you can end the fight before he can try anything. I saw him use Graze Core to oneshot the party in someone else's video.
Afterwards, the cutscene treats Gertheim like he's currently invincible, so the party has to flee back to town. Mariella is not pleased to learn that Gertheim and Apocalypse plan on destroying humanity rather than granting them prosperity. Worse yet, Felmut betrays her and runs off with Gertheim.
