In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using the Mage skull with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! Mage is a character that takes some getting used to, but once you get used to him he's an absolute powerhouse. Mage's gimmick is that his skills don't actually have cooldown, but rather they are attached to a meter below his health bar called "Mana", and each skill costs a certain amount of energy. This is very similar to Champion, but unlike Champion Mage has many ways to gain back that energy which means he can freely spam his skills with little to worry about and then get back the Mana and do it again, rinse and repeat. Also, the comparisons to Champion continue with Mage also having a transformation he can achieve at legendary by pressing down+attack once his Mana meter is filled which powers up his skill casting speed and allows him to freely cast his skills without it costing any Mana, although the Mana slowly depletes. All said, Mage is an extremely solid character and is what Champion is trying to do. As you can imagine, this character works very well with Ability Spam Items, and that will be today's chosen archetype. So, that's today's run!
