Making Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms for Burger
So today our family had a nice angus burger for dinner (got frozen from Costco). We had the usual toppings like bread, lettuce, tomato. But adding caramelized onion/mushroom as a topping makes it really nice as well. I remember having that as a staple topping on angus burgers in McDonald's so yeah.
This does take quite a while to make though. It is really simple, and you don't really have to be in front of the stove the whole time. Just have to occasionally stir and such. Onions take a bit longer so they go in first. Also mushrooms can get quite a bit too watery if you leave it in too long, but draining it should fix the issue. Also I think mushrooms can be a bit more caramelized, but it is really personal preference.
Overall, nice to have with burgers! Or just eat it as veggies haha!
