Making Status Ailments Interesting - “Star Ocean 6: The Divine Force” and Interactivity
Wanted to take a look at how SO6 makes status ailments more interactive. Partially because it’s nice to see RPGs work to make ailments a bit more engaging, and partially because I’ve barely talked about 6 on this channel.
That’s due in large part to only having the PS4 version for the longest time which, uh, isn’t exactly great for footage. But Steam Sales be doing Steam Sales, and I was able to snag it within budget (along with 4!) So now I’ll be able to talk about it a bit easier going forward, since I can capture usable footage myself.
Also, used this as an opportunity to start a Letty run. Man, her battle theme is great. I mean, the whole OST is great, but you don’t hear her battle theme on his route so it’s been a pleasant bonus for this replay.
Also, yeah, ended up being late this week in part due to it being surprisingly tough to proc Scorch in early game areas. For how much of a nightmare that status is in later on, I had quite a hard time getting footage of it for this video. I dunno, might just be the desire sensor doing its thing.
Anyway, think that’ll about do it for this week. Thanks, as always, for your time. And till next time, take care out there.
