FREAKHUNTER is an interesting DRPG/FPS genre mashup that shows the value in non-traditional controls. (And yes, best I can tell, the proper form of the name is screamed. Or at least typed in all caps.)

Also, sorry if this one’s too dark, like, literally. It’s a dark game to begin with, but previewing the vid threw some errors. Tested it on a few things and some looked fine while others were hard to see. Tried upping the brightness in editing, but couldn’t find a level that made a difference without washing the game out, so… Yay. Think it’s just VLC not displaying it properly? I hope? Looks fine in other programs, at least.

Anyway, on the game itself. Definitely a cool idea, and surprisingly good game-feel once you get over the hurdle of the atypical controls. Does have a few issues, mainly with difficulty balancing, but that admittedly may be a skill issue. Definitely an interesting experience though.

And hey, looks like the weekly video schedule is indeed back on. Puppy’s learning that the house is not his toilet, and hands are not for chewing, so watching him is getting easier by the day. That means I actually have energy afterwards for games and (more to the point) making videos about games, yay!

With all that said, think that’ll do it for this week. Thanks, as always for your time. And till next time, take care out there.
