After you have completed every Grand Prix cup from 50cc to 150cc, you unlock a new Title Screen, where you see the characters on a desert-themed course, likely Kalimari Desert, so it was good to see a new Title Screen in this game, and it will remain there forever, so at least this is a good achievement.
What you also unlock after completing every cup is a new mode called Extra, where it uses the 100cc speed class, but courses are mirrored, and it would then be known as Mirror Mode in later Mario Kart games. This is the first Mario Kart game where Mirror Mode was included, and it would then be in every Mario Kart game, with the exception of Super Circuit.
I play as Toad in this one, and while Extra does use the same speed class as 100cc, it is a lot trickier as the courses are mirrored, and we get Luigi Raceway, Moo Moo Farm, Koopa Troopa Beach, and Kalimari Desert for the courses. While this is the beginning of Extra Mode, some courses get a lot harder, there is one courses that I am already not looking forward to doing, which you will see soon.
