Here is Wayward Cave, this place is optional by the way, but I decided to show this place anyway. It is a dark cave, so you might need Flash to light up the cave, and this is where I can find a girl named Mira, who is lost in the cave, and I have to escort her outside of the cave, but there are some Trainers in the cave as well.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Wayward Cave is optional, it's not required for the main story, but you can help out Mira by escorting her to outside the cave. She has a Kadabra which knows Psybeam, so it will deal a lot of damage to opponents, Kadabra has Reflect to reduce damage from Physical moves. I personally like to fight the Trainers after talking to Mira, so that way her Kadabra can help me out in battle.
Before recording this video, I caught several Bronzor in an attempt to get one with Levitate and a suitable Nature, and I wanted one in a Quick Ball in case I want to use Bronzor on my team, as I am rotating around my team in this playthrough.
After Wayward Cave, I decided to do the rest of Route 207, and there is one Trainer on this route that has a Chimchar, so it is worth battling him.
As there isn't much else to go over in this video, I will go over some of the Grand Underground spawns, and I didn't go over Kricketune in the last part, which you can find on Route 206, it will have Bug Bite when caught, and it is a decent Pokémon during this point in the game, but it isn't the best option in the game. Kricketune has the lowest base stat total out of any fully evolved Pokémon, this is one Pokémon that is in need of an evolution in order to have some sort of viability.
I will go over the Grand Underground rare encounters that were not in the Platinum Dex, while Gligar is exclusive to Brilliant Diamond, you get Teddiursa in Shining Pearl, and I will be going when caught before the second Gym, Teddiursa will have Payback at this point, giving it a good Dark-type move for that point in the game, and if you get one with Pickup, that turns into Guts when it evolves into Ursaring. Teddiursa does get some nice Egg Moves, like Crunch, Double-Edge, Close Combat, Play Rough, Night Slash, and some others, so if you get one of those moves, they can be good moves to have.
Next is Pinsir, which is the counterpart to Scyther, and can be found in Shining Pearl. Pinsir is a solid Bug-type with good Attack, it will have Bug Bite at Level 16, and Storm Throw at Level 20, and for Egg Moves, it can have Close Combat or Quick Attack, which are notable moves, specially Close Combat for this early on. Pinsir does learn some good moves through level up like X-Scissor and Swords Dance, and some good TM moves like Rock Tomb, Earthquake, and many others.
Then Smoochum, which you can find in Dazzling Cave, it is an Ice-type you can get early on, if you catch it before the second Gym, it can have Confusion at that point. As for Egg Moves, there is nothing interesting, Ice Punch kind of stands out. Smoochum and its evolved form Jynx have low Defense, and it does get some nice Special Attack moves like Psychic and Ice Beam, and Jynx is the only Pokémon to learn Lovely Kiss, so if you want an Ice-type for this point in the game, it can make a good team member.
Another thing about the Grand Underground is that you can find TMs and items in Pokémon Hideaways. I will list other noteworthy Egg Moves from some of the Pokémon you can get, and I will go over Skorupi and Croagunk's moves, even though you can't get them normally until later in the game.
