Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Gambit/Morrigan/Megaman Playthrough (Part 2/2)
Please view part 1 first as it has all the info you may have about my run of this game.
Anyway, this is the second half of my Marvel vs. Capcom runthrough. Not much to say that hasn't been already mentioned except expect more of the same actions as I did in the first half. By the way, there will be no credit roll as it will cause the video to be beyond the time limit.
-Stage 5 - Silver Samurai, Omega Red, Morrigan: In comparsion the the fourth stage, this was much more tolerable. Silver Samura and Omega Red had their moments, but it's Morrigan who seemed to make things more of a pain... it's as if this is a bit of deja vu of the MVC1 run as she was a bit rough then. Regardless, they all still went down the same.
-Stage 6 - Felicia, Psylocke, Gambit: Felicia wasn't all too difficult, but Psylocke was moving around quite a bit teleporting and all. Gambit, however, was a bit on the opportunistic/blockwhorish side of things. Compared to how this could have turned out (the fourth stage still has my mind boggling), this was a solid fight.
-Stage 7 - Sentinel, Anakaris, Marrow: Sentinel's armor made fighting him at the late stages of the game rough, and those Rocket Punches did some damage. Meanwhile, Anakaris was mostly on the defensive, but still taking advantage of the gaps in my [so-called] gameplan. Marrow, in this fight, was constantly used as her character assist had me pinned. While that was annoying to deal with, when she was actually in the battle one-on-one, she wasn't all that much to worry about.
-Final Stage - Abyss: This is where my setup goes to work. For Abyss' first form, Gambit beats the hell out of him. Simple as that. The only major miscalculation was using the Royal Flush when he used his version of the Headcrush. For the second form, Megaman's buster helped keep Abyss away; not much else about that. The final form would have been Morrigan's area, but I kept Megaman out longer than needed when I was trying to set up for particular setup for the Hyper Combination finish, but I botched it. So, in comes Morrigan to clean up, finish Abyss off proper, and the end.
As you would expect, this isn't "tournament calibur" gameplay here. :P
Seriously, remember that this is just a simple run of the game so you shouldn't have expected anything fancy despite my own personal errors and overall rust. In spite of that, I hope that you got some kind of entertainment watching. Thanks for watching, and cacti DO NOT make great pleasure toys.
