Ripoff of DEFENDER (by a company renowned for their ripoffs) with the same sound samples and very similar graphics. Fly through 8 missions (with the first 4 basically repeated) with your spaceship, trying to eliminate all the enemies. The controls are thankfully not replicated from DEFENDER-- they were way too complicated-- but you cannot turn around! You can only fly to the right, and move up and down, and fire and use a strange slow motion weapon called MAYDAY. This slows down all the action, including your movement, but this is helpful since the enemies can move fast or really hound you at times. You get an extra one seemingly with each extra life given at every 10,000 points. Some missions you fly through a tunnel-like area (where touching the ceiling or floor is deadly); some have you fly over mountain or wave-like bumps so you avoid enemy missiles and your shot is now at a downward angle (this is the easiest mission); and the others have you fly through open space. Enemies copied from Defender include bomb-laying enemies, enemies that drop deadly pods when shot, and the enemy that follows you when you take too long. Hyper noises and epilepsy-inducing flashing lights and colors may drive gamers away; or maybe the shameless plagiarism will.
