Interesting little beat-em-up in an arena setting. Play either solo or 2-player simultaneous play (and if you opt for the latter, you will play against 2 opponents-- if one of you dies the other is stuck facing both opponents!), and player one is a karate expert (I greatly prefer his longer kick) while player two is some sort of wrestler/street fighter. You can continue RIGHT where you left off with an additional credit. There are like 7 or 8 enemies to face, and you use the punch and kick buttons to pummel your enemies into submission. Some special attacks would have been a good idea; you just use your attacks and hope the enemy doesn't nail you first or block and then counterattack quickly. But a good strategy is using the karate guy's long kick to nail the enemy, back off and move to another plane quickly and do it again. This seems to get you through a couple fights (you can't replenish your energy between rounds unless you fight the 2nd player, which you MUST do when you complete a round together), and notice you have 2 lives per credit, so if you lose a life, it's not over! You seem to gain an extra life perhaps after every 2 rounds. Kind of blah at times, but the music, sound effects, and graphics make up for this. The opening music seems to have been ripped off a bit from The Blues Brothers (!) and I believe the 1st round music was reused in FATAL FURY.
