Hardest stage in the game. It's only a minute long but it manages to be absolutely brutal just because of how precise you have to be. The lava blocks are in really awkward spots to move quickly through and they have an obnoxious hitbox to boot.

It's possible to do the drop at the start without clinging to the wall but it doesn't save any time unless you're a TAS. If you enter the first lava block section without clinging to the wall you can pass the second block without waiting but you lose the time you gain from waiting at the last set of blocks.

Second section is a nightmare. You have to do this extremely optimally or else the block at 0:35 blocks or crushes you. It's very easy to get clipped by a block and take a hit especially when you have to wall jump between two blocks. To make it worse the higher block at 0:27 can hit you if you're going too fast. Also not dashing at 0:20 is slightly faster since it makes it easier to drop to the lower level with max falling speed. You go through all this hell to save around 0.70 of a second. So yeah don't even try this in a run.

Last part of the stage is straight forward. There's a zip that TAS does at around 0:50 but it's not really worth going for in real time because it requires you to do a really awkward charge slash.

One last thing about the lava blocks. You can sometimes wall jump/slide on them without getting hit. I dunno why but you can. See it for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npiFbH3sxdA
