By all accounts, yes, this game is about 10 times harder than Megaman Christmas Carol 2. Unlike 2, which had only 2 roadblocks, (Scrooge and Wily), this game has three. And unfortunately, two of said roadblocks are at the tail end of the game. So.. yeah.

Boss Rundown:
Future:
I take the risky strategy of trying to kill him before the timer runs out. This is not really the best strategy to use here, but I wanted to keep things somewhat speedy. Future is designed to be a Gauntlet of attacks, and once the timer runs out, he comes down to your level. How-ever, by not destroying the red scythes, you can get Future to stick in place for a few seconds... enough for your charged shots to reach. He's even easier with Bass, and Protoman can best him early via playing tennis with his large scythe.
Future is the hardest boss in the game, hands down, and that is largely a result of how little development time this game had. Two weeks isn't a lot of time to balance test things.

Past:
If Nitroman's statue comes alive - leave it alive. Out of the four robot masters, it's the easiest to deal with dodging wise, so you can focus on destroying the minions Past drops rather than the mid-boss. Heatman can be taken out with a single charged shot, which leaves both Toadman and Voltman to ruin your day. Voltman's shield can help you hurt Past in the process, but Toadman is a meat sheild, and a bulky one at that. The rain flush doesn't hurt either.
Unlike the flash version, in this game, you have enough time to charge a shot before a Robot Master minion spawns, so take the time to do so. Most of the masters can be taken out with rapidfire, but you might want to save charged shots for Pharaohman.

Present:
Present is nothing but predicable. He lands where you are, and his baubles also aim for where you are. Before you are able to land hits on Present, you are required to take his shield down - a fully charged shot will do it, and once it's down, rapid fire him to death, as he's weak to the buster! His new attack in remix is the only threat of this battle, as there isn't much warning.

Marley:
Marley's a piece of piss, even on hard mode.

Miser Brothers:
Of the two, only Snow Miser is a threat.
His second volley of combined Snowball and triple shot has very exacting timing to dodge on this difficulty level. You can either stick close to him, or do what I did, which is slide at the exact moment before the large snowball can hit you.
By the way, half charged shots are more effective in this battle, due to the miser brothers being dealt 1 and a half damage per half charged shot each. This ends up being much quicker than either single shots or fully charged shots, due to their lack of invulnerability frames.

Duff Cannon Twins:
There isn't much of a challenge to these two, but I see Let's Players fail all the time.
It's simple really: Hit the puddings back at them, and they fall pretty quickly. You can also rack up alot of damage with just the buster, so it's not too hard. As a sidenote, just for this video, I coded them to have separate health bars, rather than a combined one.

Mystery Machine 1.5:
Here it is, the last roadblock, and only because by this point, your nerves are shattered.
Dr Light is extremely predictable, so the only way you die, is if you fuck up. And that's easy to do. His machine gun eye is pretty nasty on Hard Mode, and is best if you lead the first shot away from the floor by doing a small hop at the end of the run.
Taking out the chin is optional, but speeds up the battle greatly.
It's possible to get two hits on Light as his fist rises, so with a fully charged shot and a mid charged shot, that leads to 6 damage per pass. He doesn't last long.
The homing shots have a per-determinded timer, designed to mess you up. Learning it helps a big deal.
And remember, you have enough time to charge a shot as the fist is rising, prioritize hitting the homing shots light creates over everything else.

Well, that covers it for that fangame of mine.
