Last maverick to fall here. The enemies are weak to Ice Wave, but it takes a good three or four casts to waste them. Just keep an eye on your hps as you wade through this area.
Mid boss of the level has a weakness to Double Cyclone.
In the second half of the level, climb up the first two ladders you see and go left. The final bolt door is here, leading to the Head Parts and X getting his latest edition of his "Gonna Give it to Ya!" armor. The Hyper Buster's the reason I've been holding out on giving him any kind of weapon upgrade.
As for the skill he picks up? X's trademark Nova Strike. Only hits a single target, but he's pretty much going to murder whatever he targets right now as Nova Strike does around 1500-2000 damage.
As for Magma Dragoon, nothing interesting pre battle chatter wise, but after he gets some cooled down some by Ice Wave before eating a Nova Strike to the face, he spills the beans...the General's waiting at the Repliforce base in Mars' orbit.
Skill reward is Rising Fire. Hits all enemies, effective on fire types, costs 150 WE.
Back at hunter base, Alia relays to the duo about what they know already...namely, the Repliforce base. Oh yes, and Iris is currently in attendance at said base. Zero swears he's gonna save her this time.
As for X, he asked by Alia to keep an eye on Zero because his energy readings are changing. Clearly this desire to save Iris may change Zero forever at the rate it's going and she doesn't want to "lose him like Axl".
...Ok, calling it now. Mavericks Final is going to feature Axl as the big bad somehow, isn't it? Wouldn't surprise me at this point, heh. That's a matter yet to be potentially answered for a long time though.
For now, the endgame stage dance begins with the assault on the Repliforce base next time.
