Current version: 1.02

Shuttle Base time. Being the first intermission stage, it'll feature souped up enemies from the first five maverick stages. I usually Double Cyclone twice to clear out enemies weak to it, then mop up with the usual X-Missile MkI/Z-Cannon/normal attacks tango.

Something to notice on your way to Colonel...you'll notice a security laser blocking off access to a teleporter with a familiar icon from the classic MM series above it. You won't be able to do anything about this until later so...what does the Colonel have to say?

Basically, he wants to get in a battle with the duo. Nothing more, nothing less. His attacks hit everyone for around 160-200 damage. Nothing insane, especially considering the fast hp growth of X & Zero right now (and will continue to be the case for the rest of the game basically). That doesn't help much when I make some boneheaded mistakes, but this time, I had Reboots available to correct said boneheaded mistakes.

Colonel's weakness is Ice Wave, but its 40 WE cost is pretty steep when you consider the duo isn't likely to be over 200 WE unless you use stat boosters. As such, I'll usually blow my WE reserves on it, then normal attacks until I need to heal up and use a Special Tank.

After the battle, Colonel's still on about not letting Zero kill Iris again...oh, and that it's "too late" shortly before he flees.

Where does he flee to? Mars, site of where five more mavericks are located and need to be destroyed....oh, and where the last two energy bolts are along with two more rooms housing the other parts of X's Ultimate Armor, that too.

Going to get cracking down on some more mavericks next time.
