The island locations of Pacific Front and China bases have been changed slightly, but the change that was more impactful appears to be AI script changes for this challenge; basically, the AI is more aggressive in sending out naval units, up to the point where they will send them as soon as a Naval Shipyard is built.

Despite this, it is still recommended to build mostly a naval force supported by aerial forces instead of loading ground troops inside naval transports, as the outer Pacific Front and China bases can be attacked by naval siege units like the Akula Sub. The Coronian base on the other hand, is more difficult to finish off since their Tech Nuclear Plants are out of range from naval siege units, so clear them out with aerial forces.
