Mesa Verde RV Resort is just one mile from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. It is a perfect base camp for exploring the area close to Mancos and Cortez in Colorado and just a little further is the town of Durango, Colorado.
We want to take this opportunity to give a shout out for the owner working with us to get us into a site when we had generator issues while camping at Morefield Campground in Mesa Verde National Park.
What we love about Mesa Verde RV Resort:
1. Trees! The more we travel in the west the more we come to appreciate campgrounds with trees.
2. Many sites with full hook ups, there are tent sites with electric and RV sites with water and electric only. There is also a cute little cabin.
3. Level sites, adequate space.
4. Bike/ Walk path and two scenic ponds with a little goose family hanging out there.
5.Close to Mesa Verde National Park - a great base camp!
6. Close to other towns and Mancos State Park
7. Friendly owner and staff
8. Pool and two hot tubs, one adults only
9. Outdoor seating, fire pit, and grill area
10. Playground
What we didn't love about Mesa Verde RV Resort:
1. We didn't have stellar Verizon service here but that's not the park's fault. Just be aware.
We are finally leaving the Mesa Verde area now. We are moving on to Utah. Goodbye Colorado! It's been fun!t have stellar Verizon service here but that's not the park's fault. Just be aware.
